David Mendelsohn - Band Leader / Composer / Vocals / Guitar
David Mendelsohn, AKA Brother Joscephus founded Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution in 2007 with Dean Fransen. Recipient of the Independent Music Award, Best Live Performance, 2011 for “Live at Brooklyn Bowl,” Nominee (still open) - Independent Music Award, best song, R&B/Soul, “Shine On,” 2014 ; John Lennon Songwriting Award Finalist in 2009 (Gospel) for “A Child Shall Lead the Way” and 2008 (R&B) “I Won’t Be That Man.” David was founding member and principal guitar player and songwriter for Trickside (Wind-Up Records), touring nationally, with the single “Under You” reaching #27 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 Charts in 2001. David is an alumni of the BMI Lehman Engle Musical Theater Songwriters Workshop as well as Tufts University. He’s also worked as Featured Guest Entertainer for Norwegian Cruise Lines and Celebrity Cruise Lines. Dave met Dean Fransen while working for Norwegian in the Caribbean and the rest, as they say, is history.

World-class musician, Dean Fransen, has been performing and traveling the world extensively for over 30 years (over 80 countries and all 50 states). Mr. Fransen honed his craft performing on cruise ships and quickly earned a spot amongst top-notch professionals everywhere. He has since gone on to enjoy performing and directing with a wide array of notable artists such as The Fifth Dimension, Regis Filbin, Nell Carter, Jennifer Holliday, and Rosemary Clooney as well as arranging and composing with with Bob Fraser and Tom Beiner. He currently resides in Los Angeles and New York City and is the Co-Founder of, and Music Director for Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution. Some of Dean's other projects include New Orleans based group The Jimmy Maxwell Orchestra and ensemble Groovopolis.
